Computer?

So.
It's getting to be that time. The time where I get a new computer! Yay! It's been four long years and my good ol' dell desktop has been good to me, but it needs to retire.

I'm gonna get a laptop! I've been looking at the Dell Inspiron E1505. It'll run Windows Vista and I'll customize it to have 1 gig of RAM and a 120 GB hard drive. That'll make it just under 800 dollars. Course, this isn't set in stone. I'm still deciding. But Dell will probably be the way to go for me. I'd want to get another gig of RAM, but it's cheaper to get it separately than to upgrade it through Dell.

Exciting, huh? We'll see how it all ends up.

Would you consider getting XP instead of Vista? 1GB of RAM in Vista is only the minimum recommended amount, and you might get better performance out of XP. You wouldn't have to get used to the new OS, either, and all the games and programs you like now would still work on the laptop. There are still compatibility issues with Vista.

But don; you want a delicious MacBook like mine?

I guess not, if you're much into games.

Yeah, games are the only thing that keeps me using Microsoft. I would have switched over to ubuntu completely a while ago if it weren't for that pesky StarCraft. And Warcraft. And Battlefront. And Empire at War. Ah, it's useless. I'll always have to use both OS's.
